I have taken Joey's crash course in sewing class - it was so fun! I brought my garage sale sewing machine and she showed me how to actually use it! We made cute little tote bags, too, since we had extra time - my 2-yr-old loves his tractor bag.

My 10yo daughter started a 5-week series of Into to Sewing with Joey - she is a beginner but by the end of the very first session she was already checking craigslist for sewing machines to buy with her own money!!! Joey is patient, fun, funny, skilled/talented, creative and a super teacher. My daughter said, "Joey is a great teacher because she's not like your friend's mom or your actual teacher, she's just young at heart!". I loved that - and so true. Highly recommended and reasonably priced considering the extra studio time students are entitled to.
